I enjoy the balance of working on the wheel and throwing pieces,  but also hand building.  Hand building lets me explore architectural elements and intersecting shapes.

This piece is from a Series entitled "Feathers / Wisdom".   Feathers intrigued me as a shape; so delicate.  But they became more interesting as I looked into their symbolic meanings: guardian angels offering protection and reassurance, wisdom and guidance among other meanings.  Working in a Series allows me to stretch my imagination and experiment with different variations on the theme, whether it is a design change or the use of a different underglaze/glaze.   You can find my various Series in Collections.  Thank you for taking the time to look at my work.  If you have any questions or interests, you can reach me at [email protected] or through the Corrales Fine Arts Gallery, 4685 Corrales Rd., Corrales.  505-280-1869.
